We strongly encourage you to avoid race-morning lines and pick up your packet or register on-site on July 3rd at BC Outdoors, 169 Main Street, Bryson City, between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. Once here, come on in and relax, meet other runners, or purchase any items you may need for the race. Or on July 4th, you can come to The Riverfront Park, 101 Mitchell Street, Bryson City, between 6:30 and 7:15 a.m.
The 5k is a mostly flat course on pavement. The course begins and ends in front of the courthouse at 101 Mitchell Street. After the starting line, you will cross the tracks and pass the Great Smoky Railroad, the Nantahala Brewery, head out to the Deep Creek area, and make a loop surrounded by mountains. Some of the course follows the Tuckasegee River. After the Deep Creek loop, you will make your way back to the finish line. There will be water stations along the way.
We'll see you at the starting line at 8:00 am for the 5K, and we'll cheer for you across the finish line!

Be the first runners on this challenging but doable, hilly course. The course starts in town and then heads out to the river. Listen to the music of the rapids while you run the river out and back. Then "Lemon's Loop" takes you through a quiet mountain neighborhood where you will tackle the hills. After you conquer the Loop, you will be rewarded with an easy, long downhill that welcomes you back to town and the finish line. You'll experience both river, town, and mountain views on your way.
We'll see you at the starting line at 7:30, and celebrate your victory at the finish line!
